The Project Preferences window will let you update a few options related to a project such as your LAS Plot format and the background image in the project. To set project preferences, open the Administration menu, highlight the Projects menu item, then select the Project preferences... menu item from the submenu that pops out.
Your project preferences window should look similar to the one below. You'll notice that you can choose your LAS Plot Format, LAS Curve Aliases, your icon image, and your background image. Your plot format and curve aliases are for use within the LAS viewer in the iProject. If you have plot format or curve alias files, you can use these files to define how the internal LAS viewer works. The Icon Image is a small image that goes in the top right hand corner of a project. Usually this will be a project logo of some sort, or the company logo for a given project. The background image is the image that you see behind the file list window in the iExplorer tab.
In order to use an LAS Plot Format, Curve Alias, or image file, you'll need to have these files stored somewhere within the project. To choose a file to use for the LAS Plot Format, LAS Curve Aliases, Icon Image, or Background Image, click the Select a project file icon (looks like a yellow folder) next to the item you'd like to set. This will open a window that allows you to browse through the project and find the file to assign to the item. Once you've found the file, click it so that its highlighted and click the Ok button. When you return to the Project Preferences window, you'll see the filename in the dropdown box next to the item. To get a quick-view of an image or the contents of a file, first select it from the dropdown box, then click the Preview the selected file button (looks like a magnifying glass.) A preview of the image or of the contents of the selected file will appear in the box on the right-hand side of the window.
If you've made changes you don't wish to keep, you can click the Reset button to set things back to how they were when you first entered the screen. once you've made all of the changes you wish to make, click the Save button, then close the window.
