Reports

The iProject has a reporting feature that lets you view activity in any given project. It also has the ability to email these reports to you at regular intervals. This section details how to access these reports and what information they provide. All reports can be found under the 'Reports' menu in the menu bar, or by right clicking a directory and going to the 'Reports' option at the bottom.

Before generating any report, you first specify the timeframe of the report, along with any other details as shown in the picture below. The timeframe for the report is generated by the number of days, weeks or hours leading up until the exact moment when you create the report.

Latest Activity

The Latest Activity report gives you a look at any activity in the chosen folder. The report details file activity in its sub-directories by listing the file, the sub directory it's under, the action taken with the file, and the time and date the action was taken.

Activity Details

The Activity Details report gives you a slightly more in-depth view of the file activity in the directory. You'll notice in the example below, that the user column is included in the report, as well as a better description of what actions were taken with each file.

Summary

The Summary report gives you an overview of file activity just as the above reports do, but it does so with more of a "big picture" look. It is only broken down by directory, rather than the directories and each individual file, and only has a brief summary of how many files were added and modified. the numbers in the parentheses give the activity for the directory itself, while the numbers not in the parentheses give the activity in the folder and it's sub directories.

Reports by Email

You may choose to receive a report or reports by email. When you choose the 'Reports by Email' option, you're presented with the dialogue box on the top left below. Clicking the 'Add Report' button will open a new dialogue box. Here, you will give the report a name, choose the type of report you'd like to receive, and choose how often you would like to receive the report. You may choose to receive hourly, daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly reports. With daily, weekly and biweekly reports, you must choose what time of day the report should be sent. With weekly reports, you must also choose the day.

Once you've chosen a name for the report, the report type, and the frequency, you'll need to choose the directory (or directories) which you'd like to have the report sent on. In the bottom pane of the window, you can use the directory tree just like the trees in iExplorer and File Transfer to expand to the directory or directories you'd like to have reports on. Click the white box next to the directories you wish to have reports on, and a check mark should appear, noting that this directory has been selected. When you're finished, click the 'Save' button.

Once you're returned to the Email Reports window (the bottom window in the the example above), you'll see your report name, what type of report it is, how frequently it will be sent, and when the next time it will be sent is. You may at this point edit this report by selecting it and clicking the 'Edit Report' button, or even Remove the report by selecting it and clicking the 'Remove Report' button.
