Editing Project Information

If a current project needs its information updated, you'll need to go to the Edit Projects screen to do this. To open this window, open the Administration menu, highlight the Projects menu item, then select the Edit Projects... menu item from the submenu that pops out. The Edit Projects window will show a list of projects you have permission to view on the left, and the highlighted project will display its information on the right. By default, the projects displayed on the left are not filtered, but you have the option of displaying the projects of a specific company by selecting that company from the drop down box at the top left corner of the window. Choosing a company here will filter all of the other company projects out of the list, making it easier to find the project you are looking for. You can also sort the project list just as you can sort other menus by clicking on the top button above the column you'd like to sort by.

To edit a project's information, first select it so that it's highlighted on the left, then edit the fields on the right. Below the fields that you can edit you'll notice the Project Template section. This simply shows you the project template and directory structure the project was originally set up with. You can also delete projects (if you have permission to do so) using the delete button. Note that deleting a project is permanent and your server administrator may not be able to get the data back if you remove a project. Deleting, therefore, is dangerous and best left as a last resort to cleaning up any project.

You can also start the "Project Creation" wizard from this screen if you'd like to create a new project. Once you've made your changes to a project's information, click the Update button to save your changes. If you do not want to save changes you may have made to a project, simply click the Close button. Closing the window without clicking Update first will leave the project(s) you've edited unchanged.
